Combination Cleaner/Corrosion-Inhibitor chemical products have been developed to accomplish the combined tasks of difficult cleaning and long-term corrosion protection. A single Cleaner/RP product can be is used in all wash and rinse stages. This allows conventional concentration methods, such as conductivity, to be used in each tank, regardless of intermixing. The new Cleaner/RP products effectively remove difficult contaminants, such as chlorinated paraffinic oils and burned-on-carbon, while providing long term (>90 day) protection for a variety of metals, including, aluminum, brass, and cast steel.
